A body confidence session is to empower individuals to embrace and celebrate their bodies, developing a more positive and accepting self-image.

A typical session focuses on helping the client to build a positive self-image and develop a healthier relationship with their body.

Each session starts with sharing personal goals or discussing common body image issues in a supportive environment.

There is always an educational component where I educate clients about body image, self-esteem, and the societal pressures that impact how we view ourselves. This might include discussing media influence, cultural norms, and the importance of self-acceptance

Then we move onto interactive exercises doing various activities designed to challenge negative thoughts and promote body positivity. These could include journaling exercises, guided visualizations, or group discussions focused on recognizing and appreciating individual strengths and attributes.

Throughout the sessions, I give practical advice on how to build up body confidence in daily life. This might involve setting personal goals, developing affirmations, practicing self-care routines, or learning how to counteract negative self-talk.

If in a group setting, I invite participants to sharing and offer support to one another. Participants may have the opportunity to share their experiences, struggles, and successes with the group. This creates a sense of community and allows individuals to feel understood and supported.

If I am working one-on-one with a client, I share my personal views on my own body image and take time to explore and witness each others views of our own bodies.

As a closing exercise we revisit goals setting and reflect. Participants might be encouraged to set actionable steps for continuing their journey toward body confidence and to identify ways to stay motivated.
